ABOUT
ABOUT ME
my background
Hey, I’m Jaxon, a North Carolina author who grew up rolling dice in AD&D campaigns, binging anime marathons, and getting lost in every fantasy book I could find. Gaming taught me worldbuilding and consequence. Anime taught me emotion and rhythm. Together, they shaped the storyteller I am today.
Now, I write stories that combine those passions — adventures with heart, relationships with depth, and characters who are as competent in battle as they are in love. My protagonists are strategists, survivors, and partners who are surrounded by equally capable allies whose relationships are built on respect and earned intimacy.
BEGINNING
my influences
I draw inspiration from R.A. Salvatore’s kinetic storytelling, Brandon Sanderson’s layered worlds, Joe Abercrombie’s grit, and George R.R. Martin’s complexity. Add in decades of anime — from classic Isekai to darker Ecchi-tinted journeys — and you’ve got the DNA of my fiction: intelligent chaos with heart.
I don’t write escapism for the sake of escape. I write what happens when the hero finally gets what they want and discovers how much it costs to keep it.
THE FIRST BOOK
Echoes of Sacrifice
My first book is an Isekai Fantasy Adventure with harem elements sprinkled in. It is set in a world of floating islands and corrupted beasts. Right now it is going to be 4 novels in total.
Echoes of Sacrifice is Book One of The Legacy of Echoes Series, an isekai fantasy where you’ll join Kieran on an epic journey filled with betrayal, sacrifice, love, and loyalty in an alternate world where heroes can be survivors, saviors, or victims…
WHY ISEKAI?
my reasoning
To put it simply, I am a fan of that genre of anime, and I figured I would be able to do it justice as a full fantasy novel instead of the typical light novels that are out there right now.
Now for the other reason I chose to write in this genre. It is because as I have read and watched more and more Isekai, I have grown irritated and bored with the consistent trope of having an adult MC with zero social skills and a massive loser complex. So, my protagonists are very competent dealing with whatever is thrown their way, be it their journey or their love lives. I really appreciate the very few anime series that have come out with a competent lead who doesn’t make you want to put your fist through the screen at how cringy their interactions with people are.
